Rediscovering Heart Failure Summit – Parliament House, Canberra October 13, 2015

Heart failure is a debilitating and deadly syndrome that, due its insidious and complex nature, is commonly described as the “Cinderella” of cardiovascular disease. Consistent with this label, unlike stroke, heart attack and the high profile cancers it remains an under-appreciated contributor to death and disability in Australia.  In response to this situation, the Rediscovering Heart Failure Summit, will focus national attention on the burden of heart failure on the Australian community, and will work to develop an integrated plan of initiatives designed to “future-proof” Australia from the impact of this debilitating and deadly disease.
